At Residential Building Specialties, Inc., we believe that your bathroom should be more than merely functional; it should also serve as a space where you can unwind from your day-to-day stresses. Many people find that taking a shower is a great way to both relax tired muscles and take a break from their everyday worries. While this relaxation can often be found in any shower as long as it’s clean and functional, a truly great shower can provide truly luxurious relaxation. One option that will lend your space that air of luxury is a shower enclosure.
Shower Enclosures
At their most basic, shower enclosures are made of panels, a door, and a tray. The number of panels will vary depending on where the enclosure is placed in the room–if you opt to put a shower enclosure in a corner, it will only need one panel and a door, while if you have an existing alcove for a shower, you may only need the door. Walk-in showers are a unique type of shower enclosure. They have panels to separate them from the rest of the room, but they do not have doors–in this arrangement, the surrounding walls and floor must be completely waterproof to prevent damage. While various panel styles are available, one of the most popular options is plain, non-textured glass, which evokes the decadent atmosphere of a spa.
